Kappa Lambda Chapter Receives $50,000 grant to implement
Charles Hamilton Houston Summer Leadership Institute.

Dear Brothers,

It is my pleasure to announce that we have received grant funding to implement the Charles Hamilton Houston Summer Leadership Institute this summer!  In collaboration with the School of Education at North Carolina A&T State University, we have received a $50,000 grant to recruit 30 rising 9th grade Black males and 30 rising 11th grade Black males from Guilford County Schools with whom we can work during a five-day residential program in July to impact positively their academic, social, and personal development.  This grant is the largest the Kappa Lambda Chapter has received, and it will be imperative that all Brothers support the effort as we move forward as our performance with these funds will impact our ability to secure funding in the future for similar programs.  Congratulations Brothers!  Now the work of Alpha begins!
